What is RON?

Remote online notarization, or “RON” as it’s commonly called, is a 100% online notary service where documents of all types can be electronically signed and notarized online using a device with a webcam and microphone. You don’t have to physically appear before a notary, but you do have to appear by video. You can be anywhere in the world as long as have a reliable, high-speed Internet connection. Florida is one of 34 states that allows electronic/remote notarizations.

Can RON be used for real estate closings & mortgage documents?

Yes, we are experienced with notarizing real estate closing and mortgage documents online. The RON technology platform we use, eNotary Log, is MISMO certified and equipped to handle such documents. We provide a one stop digital signature and RON service that delivers a full range of online notarization and eSigning capabilities. Before scheduling, you would need to with your title company to make sure they accept documents that have been notarized online.

Is RON secure & safe?

Yes, it’s secure snd safe. The platform provider we use satisfies Florida’s strict remote online notary laws. Each and every signer has to have their driver license analyzed for authenticity and their identity is authenticated using a system known as, “Knowledge Based Authentication”, or KBA. All remote online notary (RON) sessions are also audio-video recorded.

See link below for tips for a successful RON session.
